Charity competition to name a Metropolitan Police operation after Lembit Opik

Acting Metropolitan Police Commissioner TimGodwin, who likes to be known as “The Laughing Policeman”, has sanctioned a charity competition in aid of the Safer London Foundation.
A panel of Police Fedration reps will judge entries from police officers and staff to suggest the wittiest pairing of a potential Mayor’s Candidate’s name with a policing operation.
Entries are being requested by 1200 hours today for the following operational categories:
Operation BoJo
Operation Livingstone
Operation Lembit
Operation Opik
The competition itself is being designated Operation April Premiere.
