I want to make it clear that this isn’t me, but I wish him all the best.

I know that some of my readers may find this difficult to believe, but I think I should make it clear that I am not – nor have I ever been – a very athletic person.

Moreover, for the avoidance of doubt I want to make it clear that the Toby Harris who is bearing the Olympic Torch through Walkerburn on the 14th June is not me.

He is clearly a very worthy torch-bearer. ¬†However, if any one wants to catch sight of me in a tracksuit running or jogging or even walking slowly, they will be disappointed….

However, I wish my namesake (and indeed all the other Torch-bearers) my best wishes.

  1. Worse still but I have to ask. We have a relationship (of sorts) via your blogge. Obviously we see policing differently. An hour ago I heard that you are owned by the Met over some dodgy deal involving your son and a Brixton nightclub. Can you vouch that you have some integrity in matters concerning the MPA? That Paddick is not “owed a favour” by you? If it were anyone else I’d have already run this story.

  2. I’d heard he’s Broxsted & DCI Fergusson’s love child, after all .. These Blair creations …

  3. I have just finished “The Untouchables” and it does not portray you in a good light. MPA merely “Yes men” for corrupt, mendacious racists in blue.

  4. @Chris Just like Red Ken and Lee Jasper no doubt, at least one of whom you have accused of racism, the other of theft, while Jasper’s encomium for Ken on twitter was moving. I think he’s blocked you, so if you ask nicely perhaps I’ll copy it over.

When you’re wrong, unlike the pater familias in Dirty Dancing, you deny it until the cows come home.

  5. Lee Jasper? Can you tell me where the £510,000 went? Answers on a postcard to @Wazirstan on Twitter! Ken? Hates Jews. Already. Lord Toby is not a free mason. But in all the time the MPA has been in existence it has done nothing to curb the scum who frame Sam Hallam. Nite.

  6. Hello, Lord Harris!

I am Toby Harris, the very one that carried the Olympic torch through walkerburn.
Was just browsing through the interweb and saw this article, thought I’d say hello, and thank you for your kind words!

    Toby Harris
